Kuuluisia bulgarialainen ennustaja Baba Vanga esitti monia mielenkiintoisia ennustuksia.

Baba Vanga, oikealta nimeltään Vangelia Pandeva, syntyi 1911 ja kuoli 1996. Hän eli koko elämänsä Petrichin kaupungissa Bulgarissa. Vanga menetti näkökykynsä 12-vuotiaana ja eli loppuelämänsä sokeana.
Erään Adolf Hitlerin kerrotaan II maailmansodan aikana käyneen Vangan juttusilla, ja poistuneen Vangan luota järkyttyneen oloisena.
Vanga aloitti ennustamisen 16-vuotiaana. Vanga auttoi kykynsä avulla isäänsä etsimään varastettuja lampaita. Hän kykeni esittämään tarkan kuvauksen minne varkaat olivat kätkeneet lampaan. Hänen ennustajankykynsä kehittyi kukkaan hänen täytettyään 30.

- 1980-luvulla Vanga ennusti: "Vuosisadan vaihteessa, elokuussa 1999 tai 2000, Kursk täyttyy vedellä ja koko maailma itkee Kurskin kohtaloa."
Elokuussa 2000 Kursk -niminen sukellusvene upposi vieden mukanaan koko miehistönsä.

- “Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing.” (1989).
Tapahtui kuten Vanga ennusti. WTC-tornit sortuivat hyökkäyksen uhreina syyskuussa 2001. "The steel birds" - rautaiset linnut - tarkoittivat lentokoneita, jotka törmäsivät amerikkalaista taloudellista hegemoniaa symboloiviin World Trade Center -torneihin. Iskusta lähtien Yhdysvaltojen taloudellinen asema on joka vuosi heikentynyt suhteessa muuhun maailmaan.

Vuotta myöhemmin Gorbatshov ja Reagan paiskasivat kättä. Neuvostoliitto veti joukkonsa Itä-Euroopasta ja Reagan antoi Gorbatshoville henkilökohtaisen lupauksen, ettei NATO koskaan laajene Berliinin itäpuolelle.
Ennustuksen jälkimmäinen osa on hieman hankalampi. "Meidän täytyy odottaa, että Kahdeksas saapuu näyttömölle ja allekirjoittaa lopullisen rauhansopimuksensa maailman kanssa". Mikä tai kuka on tämä "Kahdeksas"? Joidenkin mielestä Baba Vanga tarkoitti Venäjää, joka liittyi G7-kerhoon sen kahdeksantena jäsenenä, jolloin kerhosta tuli G8. Jos ennustus pitää paikkansa, niin Kahdeksannen seuraava tehtävä on tehdä rauha koko maailman kanssa. Tässäkin on nähtävissä yhtäläisyysmerkki Venäjään, sillä Venäjä on tällä hetkellä maailman suurvalloista se rauhanomaisin.

- Boris Jeltsinin presidenttikaudella Vanga ennusti, että Venäjän seuraavaa presidenttiä ei vielä tunne kukaan. Vanga ei nimennyt Venäjän tulevaa presidenttiä, mutta sanoi hänen olevan kokonaan uusi kasvo, josta harvat ovat kuulleet. Zjuganov ja Lebed (1990-luvun kuuluisimmat oppositiopoliitikot) eivät Vangan mukaan tulleet edes kysymykseen. Ennustus osoittautui oikeaksi, sillä erittäin harva oli kuullut Vladimir Putinista vielä 1990-luvun puolivälissä.

On huomattavaa että Vanga käytti nimitystä "Venäjä" eikä "Neuvostoliitto", kuten vuonna 1979 oli useimmiten tapana. Ennustuksessa muu lienee selvää, mutta kehen viitataan "Vladimirilla"? Vaihtoehtoja voisivat olla Venäjän historian suurhahmoihin kuuluva prinssi Vladimir, vallankumousjohtaja Vladimir Lenin tai 2000-luvun presidentti ja pääministeri Vladimir Putin.
Myös "sulaminen" aiheuttaa kysymyksiä. Mitä Vanga tarkoitti "sulamisella"? Voisiko kyse olla ilmastonmuutoksesta? Maailman ilmasto uhkaa lämmetä tavalla, joka tekisi suurista alueista asuinkelvottomia. Venäjä on maantieteellisen asemansa vuoksi kenties parhaassa asemassa globaalin lämpenemisen tapahduttua.

2014 - Most of the people in this world will have skin cancer and skin related diseases. (as a result of chemical wars).
